Birdies for Charity Director Micaela Booth says last year they broke a record and raised nearly $14 million.
"We always say, you know, our goal is just a dollar more. Because, that amount in the Quad Cities, if we came anywhere even close to that again, that's not anything to be disappointed about, even if it doesn't break a record."
Booth says one thing that makes Birdies for Chairty special is it makes fundraising easy.
"A charity that's just getting started, who might not have those marketing dollars to spend on their own behalf gets the opportunity to use the Birdies for Charity logo and use the momentum of the John Deere Classic, which is a nationally televised sporting event, that happens in their hometown. That's really huge I think."
This year tournament week begins Monday, July 3rd, with the actual PGA tournament starting on Thursday, July 6th.
Pledge forms are available on the Birdies for Charity website.
